Overwhelmed

Postby Dyala_ » September 24th, 2016 7:42 pm

Hi

I used to speak fluent Turkish in my early childhood, my mom is Turkish but she stopped when I started school. I lost everything as I grew up but Turkish music and words was still in my house and ears.

I decided to bring back my Turkish this summer, I stared with Duolingo level 9 then I found your classes and trying hard to make the best of it.

I have good a vocabulary, yet I'm not able to communicate or understand conversations.

I found the grammar pretty difficult and not able to grasp the idea of forming my words into useful sentences.

I'm following your lessons and directions but can't memorize each lesson in order to make similar phrases.

Am I missing anything here? how long it usually takes to really start speaking the language?

Thanks,
Samara
