| Ok, let's see what is today's topic. |
| Being sick. Oh... it's kind of sad. |
| We say, like, hasta olmak in Turkish. |
| 1. baş ağrısı "headache" |
| baş means "head," and ağrısı means "ache," "it hurts." |
| So, baş ağrısı means "headache." |
| I think many Turkish women have headache, so it's a really word. You know, married couples in Turkey, like, after 10 or 20 years, you know, everything is being a routine, and just like, people don't wanna be in some kind of relationship; and of course, men are just asking, "hey, let's have fun tonight." The women are always, "no, I have a headache, no." This is very usual in Turkey. |

| Başım ağrıyor. "I have a headache." |
| 2. ateş "fever" |
| If you want to say "I have a fever," then you say, like, |
| Ateşim var. |
| 3. nezle "cold" |
| Catching cold. |
| For me, I always catch cold. I think I'm kind of weak. Yeah. |
| Ben çok nezle oluyorum, which means "I catch cold a lot." |
| Especially in winter. |
| Ben çok nezle oluyorum. |
| I catch cold everyday. |
| 4. grip "flu" |
| One step higher is grip. We say gribim means "I caught flu." In Turkey, when we meet someone, maybe we're so friendly, so we just like to hug and kiss, say "hey, how are you?" like that. And if you just caught the flu, everyone will say that, |
| Ay çok gribim, gelme. "Oh I caught the flu so badly, please don't touch me." |

| 5. ilaç almak "taking medicine" |
| If you just caught a cold or flu, and then what do you do? |
| Grip oldum, ilaç alıyorum. "I caught the flu so I'm taking medicine." |
| Grip oldum, ilaç alıyorum. |
| And you can post it to Instagram. Like, Turkish girls maybe do that, maybe everyone is doing that right now, right? Even though you're sick, you're just like, "oh, I'm so sick." |
