Turkish Survival Phrases, Lesson 49: Using Turkish to get medical assistance.
In this lesson, we'll introduce you to some phrases you will find useful in case you need medical assistance. When traveling, sometimes the body takes a little time to adjust, and the immune system is no different. In this lesson, we will go over some phrases that will help get you to a location where you can get medical assistance. We'll start with the phrase, "Please take me to the hospital."
In Turkish, "Please take me to the hospital" is Lütfen beni hastaneye götürün! Let's break it down by syllable: Lüt-fen be-ni has-ta-ne-ye gö-tü-rün! Let's hear it again, Lütfen beni hastaneye götürün!
First, we have Lütfen, which is "please" in English as you can remember. Next, we have Beni, or "me/myself." Be-ni. Beni. After this is Hastaneye. this is in English literally means, "to the hospital." Has-ta-ne-ye. Hastaneye. Then we have Götürün, which means "take." Gö-tü-rün. Götürün.
All together, we have Lüt-fen be-ni has-ta-ne-ye gö-tü-rün. Lütfen beni hastaneye götürün. We translate it as "Please take me to the hospital."
If you would like someone to take you to visit a doctor, you can use the following phrase. "Please take me to the doctor," which is Lütfen beni doktora götürün! Let's break it down: Lüt-fen be-ni dok-to-ra gö-tü-rün! Lütfen beni doktora götürün!
As you can see, this phrase is very similar to the previous one. The only thing that changes is Doktora in place of Hastaneye. Dok-to-ra. Doktora.
All together, we have: Lüt-fen be-ni dok-to-ra gö-tü-rün! Lütfen beni doktora götürün!
