Hey guys, it’s Selin. Merhaba, ben Selin. Welcome to Turkish Weekly Words. Let’s start our lesson. I don’t know the content of the lesson yet. Let’s find out together. Weather, hava. It’s a topic that you can talk with everyone in Turkey. Weather.
1. güneşli "sunny"
Yeah, I like sunny, of course, sunny weather.
Güneşli havaları severim. "I like sunny weather."
2. yağmurlu "rainy"
Yağmurlu havalarda dışarıya çıkmak istemem. "I don't want to go out in rainy days."
Yeah, it’s kind of you know, it’s wet. It’s just wet. I don’t like to go out.
3. rüzgarlı "windy"
Türkiye'nin Kuzey Batısı çok rüzgarlıdır. "The northwest of Turkey is very windy."
4. fırtına "thunderstorm"
Fırtınada balıkçılar denize açılmaz. "Fishermen don't go fishing if there is a thunderstorm."
There are many fishermen in Turkey because like we have Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, Aegean Sea, see-saw. Yeah, we like fish I think.
5. kar "snow"
Eğer kar yağarsa kardan adam yapıcam. "If it snows, then I'm going to build a snowman."
